Face mask First Timer

Today I will rant about face masks :D

My Beauty Diary

I stumbled on facemasks about a year ago through beauty bloggers. I thought it was pretty cool and convenient. I wanted to try it out especially after seeing how asian celebrities were using them and they got such nice skin ugh.

however it took my until now to actually try them out since first of all im not an ounce asian and was unsure that they would work on my skin, but after reading so many reviews and how benefial they can be on the skin I just decided to try it out.

again im not an ounce asian, im tan and am of mixed race. my skin isn't oily (except for my forehead a bit) and can get very dry to the point where I get dry patches if not using any moisturizer for a while.

the first face masks I decided to get are the my beauty diary which everyone has already heard of and reviewed about but I feel like my review might help someone of non asian race maybe? lol

anyway I decided to get the variety pack since they had so many to choose from and I wanted to try out more than one of the many kinds they offer.

this set includes the following 7 different types of masks
1.       Collagen Firming Mask
2.       Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Mask
3.       Arbutin Whitening Mask
4.       Black Pearl Mask
5.       Bird’s Nest
6.       Red Vine Mask7.       Aloe Mask

so far I have only tried the bird's nest and the collagen firming mask. im doing one mask a week which is every sat night :D. so far I like them them but I don't love them.

Bird's nest
I only left this one on for about 25 min for fear of an allergic reaction since it was my first time trying these masks lol that was dumb I know shut it, the mask had a nice scent and had a ton of serum! as advised by many of the beauty bloggers who used this I used the excess serum on my neck and hands hee hee.

I didn't notice a real significance but it brightened my dull skin and left it looking and feeling nice. after reading that it was actually made with with a type of bird's saliva I was kind of grossed out but at the same time thought well it must be good lol.

so if your not down for that you might want to skip this mask.

next up is the collagen firming mask. the packets are smaller than I had imagined, and the actual masks are nicely folded inside with a protective light plastic that you peel off before putting the actual cloth on your face.

this one felt had a nice soft scent too which I cant describe just know that it's nice. this mask tingle a little bit and made parts of my face itchy which I think was a good reaction.

I left this one on for a little over an hour, until my face absorbed all of the serum from the mask. the mask doesn't drip btw. after peeling it off my face was slightly sticky but after the serum was fully absorbed it went away.

my face again was bright and i did feel a slight firmness which was nice. I think with continued use of this mask your face will look amazing if firmness is what you need.

embarrassing pic of mahself

and now to redeem myself

Thank you for reading and I really hope this helpe at least a little.
I will also update on the rest of the masks littly by little.

also please subscribe if you like my  blog
I will greatly appreciate it!

update pt 2

cute goodies from girls night out

My Beauty Diary Mask Bird's Nest
which I will review on sun or monday.
Myself

Update pt1

fighting to keep this blog alive. been very lazy and busy to come on the computer.
the bro however bought a laptop so im taking the opportunity to blog in a more
free comfy space :D the space where my old comp is located is cramped and the
comp itself is old and gross and I just hate going on it now.

anyway, I want to share what I did last weekend since I had been anticipating it
for a while now, back in july I joined the youth music dept at the church I go to
and have been slowly getting to know more people. I am very excited about that
because irl the friends I had are non existent pretty much, I used to have a good amount
of friends but slowly I've had to cut some out of my life and others have just been
too busy to even talk + they live very far so it's hard to hang out.

anywho, our leader in the music dept planned a girls night out event just for the
us girls :D. most of them are singers and three of us play an instrument. we went to
the anabella hotel in anaheim, pretty much right next to disneyland, the hotel was very
nice, sorry I didn't take any photos (im pretty bad at taking pictures in public since
im very shy, I know I need to work on that). everything went
by really fast! we went night swimming, went back to our room and ate then
had a spa time complete with facial and manicures lol then sleep.

I didn't get much sleep since the girls were being loud and talkative but I cant complain
I had a lot of fun and got to know the girls i'll be working with in the future!

sorry for the text heavy post. I will do my best to get over my fears lol.

summer skin items

in the past months I have been trying out some products for my skin. summer is here already and I wanted to make sure that my skin was hydrated and feeling nice. it isn't that hot here in LA yet but it's getting there.
from left to right
Veet fast acting gel cream hair remover
This is the leg and body sensitive formula with aloe vera. like any other girl I got yired of shaving and wanted to try something that would leave long lasting results. I have never tried waxing and am afraid of the pain plus I imagine that leg waxing would be expensive at a salon and too dangerous for me to want to try at home. so I went to target and purchased this for around $6 which I found was cheaper than a drug store or any other store. the bottle is big (13.5 fl oz) and I bought it back in april, it is now july and i still have less than half left. I've used it quite a few times now.

the product itself it a thick smooth white foam, it also comes with a nifty little paddle? lol which has two sides, one wide and the other a bit less wide to remove large or small amounts of hair at a time. its plastic so it doesn't hurt and does the job very well I even used it in my under arm area ;D!

the first time I used the product I was amazed, I left it on for about 8 min (max being 10 or else its on you!) this product does not burn or hurt at all. the first time results i got were long lasting and i didn't see any hair growth for a couple weeks. the last few times i've used it however i've noticed that the hair is growing back as fast as if i were using a razor.

will I be purchasing this again? I don't know, we'll see how it performs by the time its finished i'll determine from there.

Tree Hut Shea Body Buttercoconut lime with natural coconut and lime extracts
I LOVE THIS BODY BUTTER
compared to a bunch of other lotions i've tried (aveeno, curel etc) this has to be my most fav of the moment. the texture is so creamy and delicious on your skin and the moisture lasts all day or until you shower! no lie lol. not to mention the SMELL! it smells so good I wish I could eat it LOL. it's such a perfect product for summer, coconut lime. it says it all. even my brother loves this lotion im already done with it and need to get another ASAP. just to let you all know my skin is dry and has suffered from eczema since I was a child. I haven't broken out in about a year now but it does get dry and this body butter just feels so GOOD.

Go and get this now! or you can wait until I gain at least 25 followers by the end of this month and i'll have a giveaway just because I love this body butter so much and want others to try it. they also have a body wash which I want to try and other kinds of body butter, not just coconut lime. so go check it out. I got mine from bed bath and beyond for US $6.99.

Now onto the final product which is the

Avani Dead Sea Cosmetics Deep Cleansing Mud Facial GelI Personally LOVE avani dead sea cosmetics. last year around this time I was going trough a bad time with my facial skin. I had a lot of dry spots and it just looked and felt so bad. might have been because of the dry weather too but ffff. anywho I was buying facial products from the drugstore to ease the pain and dryness but nothing worked. one day I happened to find the dead sea cosmetics counter at a department store and a consultant there offered to give me a free peel. I accepted and she did a whole facial including toner, moisturizer etc. my skin instantly looked and felt better, I then got sold to the basic skin care kit which included a dead sea mud mask, the gel cleanser, toner and moisturizer. my skin got better instantly and i have been using the moisturizer and mask ever since.

I was reluctant to use this cleansing gel though but seeing as how lately i've run out of makeup remover and im wearing makeup more now (got unlazy) I needed something to wash it out at night so I remembered I had this and pulled it out. I have to say I really like it! it brightened my skin and left it looking and feeling clean.
I recommend it for anyone looking for a nice facial cleanser.

I wont go into more detail about the dead sea ingredients because this post has gotten too long. im sorry. lol

I am serious about the Tree Hut Body Butter Giveaway though! only if I reach at least 25 Followers by the end of this month. I will ship world wide so yeahh :D

mini update.

im fighting to keep this blog active and interesting? I have a product review I have yet to post. my dad just passed away this past friday so things have been really hard for me and my family. I still can't believe it and im trying to move on as much as possible, I feel that this blog can help me stay sane. so i'll put up my review maybe later today or tomorrow. there are still a lot of things im going to busy with my family that has to do with funeral stuff. yesterday I went to a cemetery for the first time in my life and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I already cried my eyes out as much as I had to so everyday that goes by I feel more peace which is important. believe it or not im happy that my dad is now resting and not suffering anymore even though he went really fast without any warning; He was a very strong man healthwise, he had diabetes but that didn't slow him down one bit. I'll end it here before I ramble more lol.

if you read this than I thank you and hope you will find my posts somewhat interesting? :'D
I know this blog might seem like it's all over the place and I apologize for that. any feedback
would be appreciated.

instagramin

I feel like I need to apologize for not posting anything for over a week but I dont have any followers (if any at all) so no lol. /criescozofghostblog. but anyway I have nice pictures and things to say so w/e. let me start out with last week. I had jury duty to go to and yes it was horrible, and yes I made it to the second stage that everyone dreads but thank god I wasn't chosen to be a juror for that case. I lasted a total of three days in the juror choosing process which I think is a horrible process to go through btw.
<-- just stuff I took with me for those days at the courthouse.

view from the 11th floor of the LA courthouse.
after my horrid week I was able to go to the cherry blossom festival. I missed the dolldelight fashion show by a few minutes :/ but I was still able to see my two friends, one whom participated in the fashion show and I got to take pictures of :'D still waiting for those pictures to be developed so that I can post them! look out for that!
here are some pictures from that event i took with my phone hehe.

got to touch some koi gish at the festival and took a silly photo of min and shannon haha.
will stop here im tired  :0.

black withdrawals

so lately i've been wanting to get some black back into my wardrobe. for the past year or more i've been wearing a lot of colors. not bright but still colors lol. I still have some grey in it and like one black sweater, but no black bag etc. so i've been window shopping on various sites and found some things in black that I really like right now. I know it's spring and all but you can't ignore black no matter how hot it gets. I think i've been influenced by christian's style lately. I really love it!

anywho here is my little compilation of things I liked. out of everything I might actually get the bag :3

Outing with mina

so last thursday my friend and vocalist of our unamed band called me short notice to go out to downtown LA! of course I could not refuse that especially since I had not seen her in AGES!

so once mina got to my area (she lives like an hour away :'/) she picked me up and then we headed to the metro station. it takes about an hour to get to LA from my area on the metro, but in car its like 20min lol. the metro is just slow ok, but it's still fun to take. so we take about 3 trains to get there, takes us underground and all.

once we got there we decided to check out some stores. cure shop first where mina got a nightmare CD, then kinokuniya where I purchased two magazines that I am currently in love with! I got zipper which I had never heard of before and it came with a cute tote bag. a lot of magazines have cute gifts inside, i wanted them all!! lol but I was limited on cash so i just got that and Jelly. I could not resist the cover, the colors just got me!

isn't the tote cute? it's really big so idk if i'll even use it since I dont carry much stuff in my bag, and the bags I have are like half the size.

after that we decided to go eat. mina wanted to eat ramen at daikokuya but it was so packed that we just decided to go eat ar mr. ramen next door lol. I got vegetable curry and mina got curry ramen. of course I forgot to take a picture before we finished our food lol. I wasn't able to eat all my food, I mean look at that huge plate!

after eating we went to karaoke!! then after that we proceeded to eat cream puffs in a desolate bathroom.

why? idk mina said to just get over it and taste the cream puff
and it was so delicious that I didn't care
that I was in a bathroom eating.

that was my outing with mina :3 i'll end this post with a random picture of these nice public telephone stalls from union station.

adventures with christina

Hihi~

haven't posted in a while, i've been busy and trying to take as many photos to document my outings recently, which I still find hard to do since I feel awkward taking pictures of things/myself in public lol. last week (tue april 10th) I went out with my friend Christina to help her buy some new makeup. she threw all her old makeup away which made me feel kind of bad since my makeup is like over a year old and I still use it. makeup is just so expensive that I feel its a waste to throw it out if I haven't finished it.

after molesting all of Sephora's cosmetics (playing with eyeshadows, tanning mousse, blushes etc.) we decided to go to Macy's. I suggested she get color matched at Estee Lauder for her foundation and the consultant there got really excited because my friend is so adorable ; w;. she proceeded to not only put foundation on her face but also did put on blush, eyeshadow, and lipstick. she looked like a porcelain doll, but of course I forgot to take a picture of her makeup on lol.

after that she ended up getting a makeup kit which comes with foundation, concealer and brushes. she also got moisturizer for her face since she doesn't use any ever ~__~ after that we went to get starbucks, I got a java chip with peppermint :'D she got a strawberry lemon smoothie? it tasted so refreshing.

it's spring!

spring flowers in my little garden LOL I planted the red and white tulips back in
november I believe, and now finally they are blooming! I waited a long time!
they didn't come out nice and straight tho :'/ that's what happens I guess when
you plant flowers in a pot. (because I don't have a real garden)

this spring im feeling the pastels and floral print, neon, NO. I can't stand
neon at all idk how people can wear it. sry I had to rant about it, after seeing
the stores filled with neon pieces and people adding it to their outfits it just
kills the whole outfit imo.

currently i've gotten over my first heartbreak ever and am trying to cleanse my
mind with spring. window shopping is fun right now, currently I am stalking ebay
for auctions on a la mer collection watch. they are just adorable, here are two
that I am watching right now. I won't post their links coz I want to win LOL
although if the price goes beyond 50 then im going to give up.

I hope I can win one of them at a good price!! ahhh~

Originating from the UK comes this new amazing vintage inspired label called REDROCK.
I stumbled upon them through twitter and am really loving their collection!
the photos speak for themselves!

these are from their latest look book!

with very colorful and diverse vintage prints paired
with modern pieces creates a look that will definitely
have heads turning!

received interest from a high street fashion giant.
And the night is still young yet…

what I also like about this label is that they offer
